Please allow 30 minutes’ preparation time to groom and tack your horse before your lesson. Be ready to ride at your scheduled lesson time. If you start your lesson late, your lesson will still end at the designated time.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled lesson, please notify your instructor at least 24 hours prior, otherwise you will be charged for the lesson (at BERA discretion). A NO SHOW CANNOT BE MADE UP AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT. A make-up lesson will be scheduled for a properly cancelled lesson.
All lessons must be paid by the 5th of the month to get the “Monthly Discount” rate, otherwise you will be charged on a “per lesson” basis. Lessons are paid at the beginning, not the end, of the month. Lessons paid after the 5th will incur a $25 late fee.
There will be no refund for unused lessons. Make-up lessons must be used within 30 days or they are forfeited. Rain is the only exception (At instructors discretion).
RAINY DAY POLICY- If we have rainy days lasting longer than 1 lesson, the instructor may offer a horsemanship lesson in place of a riding lesson.
Wearing approved helmets with harness is mandatory. Brandi’s Equestrian Riding Academy has a variety of helmets available to choose from, however, we require you to purchase your own professionally fitted helmet when you make a commitment to continue riding lessons after the first month. Boots with hard soles and a heel are required, as are long pants. Hair must be pulled back into a ponytail. No Loose jewelry, chewing gum, or loose-fitting garments are allowed.
NO JUMPING WITHOUT AN INSTRUCTOR PRESENT!
Hours of Operation: Tuesday- Sunday by appointment only. Please respect Holidays and Mondays as a day off. Please leave a message and expect a response in 24-48 hours.
Brandi’s Equestrian Riding Academy is not a babysitting service. Students are expected to be picked up 30 mins after they dismount their horses. Students may only stay on the property if it’s been prearranged with Brandi.
Plan on remaining after your lesson to un-tack your horse as well as provide for its aftercare: COOLED OFF, ALL SWEAT MARKS
All stable equipment must be cleaned and returned to the tack room following its use. This includes cleaning the bit on the bridle. This ensures that it remains in top condition for continued use. Any defect needs to be brought to a staff member's attention.
NOT ALL LESSONS WILL BE JUMPING LESSONS. Flat lessons and horsemanship lessons are an important part and will be included in the program.
CURRIED OR RINSED OUT, NOTIFY STAFF MEMBER IF INJURY OR SWELLING NOTED, RETURN TO ASSIGNED HORSE STALL AND PROPERLY SECURE GATE.
